ADOPTION PENDING
**Update 3/28/2022: Tucker V has adjusted very well into his foster home. He loves to play with the other dogs, and loves affection from the children and adults. He loves to be outside in the fenced yard during the day, and does need some encouragement to come back inside either with treats or by being walked inside on a leash. He has not barked or howled while outside. He eats well in his crate. When his foster family leaves the home he is crated with treats. He will get lonely and howl but settles down after some time. He does not sleep in the crate at night, he sleeps with the other dogs in the foster home. Tucker V loves to play with plushy and rope toys; he plays well with others and he also will toss toys in to the air and chase after them! He may do better with in a home with older children, as younger children with fast movements make him nervous and he will run to another room of the house. Tucker V will be a great addition to his furever family!!
Tucker is expected to arrive on March 17th!
Tucker V and his buddy, (Hunter III) wandered into the yard of some very kind people on a cold rainy day in January. They were thin, dirty and hungry, but even in that condition they were very happy to be getting attention. The kind family fostered them for about 2 months and took them to the vet for some much needed de-worming and vaccinations. Although it was necessary to keep them outside, they created a safe and warm enclosure with an inner "pup crate" for them to snuggle together. They also provided heaters, blankets, toys and a radio! As the days passed they came to know their great personalities. "When we wake them up they come out of their little covered house stretching and yawning. They both spend their day laying around and playing with toys." Foster mom also shared that when she is petting the other beagle, Tucker quietly waits for his turn for affection. She also said she was surprised at how quiet he is...except when they are walking and he gets the scent of a critter! Otherwise, he walks very well on leash.
We will update you more when Tucker V comes to Florida!
