JUST ARRIVED
Hanna is such a quiet and gentle soul. The shelter Director in Alabama said she came to them from a hunter who had a stroke, and although we are sorry for his misfortune, we are certainly glad this petite little beagle girl has come to us! She is absolutely fine with any and all dogs, cats, children and we are told she is good with chickens too! She must have been retired from hunting! Hanna may become more energetic when she is more sure of her circumstances, but for the time being she is very low key - except of course when she thinks she will get food. She enjoys affection very much, but she needs to be sure that affection is your intention. Hanna has some veterinary needs which we will be taking care of before her adoption - she needs a dental and she is positive for heartworms. The shelter was not sure if she had been spayed so we will have our veterinarian confirm that for us.
