Cutie-pie Trooper is a hap-hap-happy dog!! His long body and paws lead us to believe he might have a bit of Bassett Hound in him, but he is still pretty small - only 23 lbs and just the right size for your lap! Trooper is confident, friendly and playful and he's doing great in his foster home. So far his housetraining is excellent and he is doing well in the crate when the family is away. He loves toys and occasionally needs to be redirected to the ones that are for dogs. Foster mom is very pleased with how he is with her two little boys ages 4 1/2 and 6. Trooper seems to really loves other dogs and he is having a blast playing with the other beagle in the home. We are even told he does great with cats. Trooper will indeed be a joyful addition to some lucky family. He did test positive for heartworms but he is scheduled for treatment and we expect he will be ready for a sleepover the latter part of November.
