ADOPTION PENDING

Basil III is a very calm and gentle beagle boy. He is playful with other dogs but just a tiny bit timid with people. Once he has determined he is safe, he will solicit attention and enjoys it! Basil came to us from a Mississippi shelter where he had been confiscated with a number of other beagles who were being kept in outdoor elevated boxes with chainlink fence for flooring. Basil is delighted to be learning about all the unfamiliar comforts of a home and being loved. We have introduced him to a dog friendly cat and he was cautiously interested but mostly wanted to avoid him. He is now in a foster home with other dogs and several cats as well. Basil will need to learn a few things about being a pet but he is TOTALLY food motivated and will be pretty easy to train - and what a joy it will be to teach this sweet-tempered little guy!! Basil is neutered and heartworm negative but he does need a dental cleaning which is scheduled very soon.
