UPDATE:  5/28/23
Spice Girl is described by her foster Mom as very sweet and social.  She's doing A+ with house training and so far has been house trustworthy.  Spice Girl really enjoys her dog toys, both soft and squeaky and nyla bones.  She's very much "puppy" when it comes to her toys and her zoomies.  She has thrived in her foster home with the other, larger Bassett Hounds.  She initiates play with a few barks.  She goes from zoomies to naptime in a heartbeat.  She sleeps on a dog bed in her foster Mom's bedroom and sleeps through the night without any problems.  She's learned to use the doggy door in her foster home.  She does follow the resident dog's lead with going outside and exploring.  She does bark for a few seconds when left alone and so far has settled quickly.  She hasn't been left in the crate but will go in the open crate throughout the day to nap.  She's fine on leash.  When she first was in the foster home, she was reluctant to go over the door threshhold but when leashed, did so with no problems and now is happy to cross the door threshhold like she's always done it.  She is in constant wiggle-butt mode - she's always happy and her whole body shows it.  Foster Mom said as long as she gets the proper amount of exercise for a dog this young, by walks and/or zoomies in a fenced yard, she will be happy.  She is a bit of a finicky eater but getting better as she should not have human food and will likely loose a pound or two with proper nutrition and exercise.  She's currently eating Nature's Recipe dry kibble with a bit of wet food mixed in for her dinner meal.  Spice Girl will seek out attention from her humans and doesn't mind being handled.  If you have room in your home for this wiggle-butt-of-a-Beagle, please fill out a survey and we'll be in touch.

Spice Girl was found as a little puppy along with her two sisters by some very kind people in Alabama who took them home and cared for them. The 3 bedraggled little puppies grew into strong and healthy young Beagle girls and the family contacted us to help them find good homes for them. Spice Girl has just arrived in Florida and is settling in super well at her new foster home. She is playful, loves toys and friendly with both people and other dogs. Spice Girl is a little overweight and will be bringing her down to a healthier shape. She is fully vetted and heartworm negative.
