ADOPTION PENDING

Lil Jake is the most joyful puppy you'll ever meet. He loves to play, cuddle and just be in the company of his humans. He has a fondness for all types of toys, including balls, stuffed squeaky toys, and Nylabones. His curiosity about things can occasionally get him into a little mischief, and he can actually be a little sneaky when he thinks no one is looking. But Lil' Jake does understand the word "no". He is very enthusiastic about going for walks and is so thrilled when he sees new human or new doggy friends he will sometimes jump up in the air when he spots them. His house training was going excellent until he had to be on the prednisone post heartworm treatment. But his foster mom has him wearing a doggy diaper which he has tolerated quite well ,and she is confident once he weans off the medication he will be making straight A's again. Because of his excellent cuddling skills, he has been allowed to sleep on the bed with his foster parents. However, he also sleeps comfortably in his crate without any issues. He should be crated when left alone at home and may bark for a time but will eventually settle down to wait. Lil' Jake tested positive for heartworms but has been treated and his recovery is going quite well. He is ready now for a sleepover.
