ADOPTION PENDING

Barney is a hap-hap-happy dog -- a tail wagging, moderate energy pup who loves getting petted and having his ears rubbed by anyone he meets. He enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home, respects the dominant female and is gentle and tolerant and gentle with two foster puppies (see video ). Barney is eager to please his people and has especially befriended the man of the house. He's coming along with house training and is fine being crated - he has his meals and sleeps in his crate at night. He's typical beagle on leash, pulling with his nose constantly to the ground, but he's good to do his business on walks. He gets vocal when he sees or smells squirrels but otherwise is fairly quiet.  He loves a good dog bed and has not attempted to get on the furniture. Although Barney immediately found the doggy toy box and helped himself, he's not a huge toy player right now.  He is intensely curious about everything, including the recyclables bag, but with a few verbal "no's", he backs away. We expect Barney to arrive in Florida the second week of May. He tested positive for heartworms and will be treated towards the end of May.
