BEAU IS ON A SLEEPOVER WITH A POTENTIAL ADOPTER!

Beau is a noble looking hound that has a friendly and gentle demeanor. He has a long body with lovely tricolor markings and some red ticking on his chest, legs, and nose. We are currently helping him to add some weight to his lanky frame as it does appear that he has missed a few meals.

Beau is a southern gentleman in every way. He happily welcomes and greets everyone with a wagging tail. It is easy to picture Beau sunning himself on someone's porch after a morning hunt sniffing out the squirrels in his yard. His foster mother reports that he loves to explore the back yard and does not miss a thing. He is always hunting for anything that moves, particularly lizards and squirrels.  Apparently, there is a squirrel at his foster home that loves to sit up in the tree and tease him.  This keeps him quite busy when he is outside.  Beau is a good boy and does not dig in the garden or the yard.  He loves to go for walks in the evenings and will stand by the door and wait when he wants his foster parents to know it is time for a walk.

So far, he has had no accidents in his foster home and will go to the door when he needs to go out to relieve himself. Of course, when he goes to his forever home he will need time to adjust to his new routine before saying for sure that he is housebroken. Beau is good in his crate but has been known to chew his blankets if left too long.

He has met and greeted the resident cat in his foster home.  He expressed curiousity but recognized the need to keep his distance.

Beau gets along with most dogs provided they are friendly to him, but dog to dog introductions should always be handled with care. Beau likes to cuddle, get belly rubs and nap in his foster father's lap. His foster mother thinks he will be a great addition to any family that is looking for an affectionate, well behaved dog.
