MOLLY VI HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WILL BE GOING ON A SLEEPOVER!
Molly VI is a mild and well-mannered beagle girl who found herself abandoned at the shelter by her owner at a truly awful time! She had been attacked by another dog and had numerous wounds - the worst one being to her right front leg. Her owner turned her over to Hillsborough County who did provide some veterinary care for her and started looking for a rescue to take her. What a sad, miserable girl she was when we picked her up. Molly VI went straight to our vet who was very concerned about the state of her wounded leg. We brought her back to the vet several more times and now, thanks to his wonderful care and the diligence and careful attention of her foster parents, Molly VI's wounds are healed and she is beginning to use her leg more and more.
That was her past - here is Molly VI at present! Molly loves to lie in the sun, get belly and ear rubs. She is always happy and wagging her tail - especially in the morning as she greets the new day and her people. Molly has totally awed her foster parents with how well behaved she is - she has had no accidents in the house and will go to the door when she wants to go out. Also, Molly has earned their absolute trust and she is not crated when they are at work. She has full run of the house and knows how to use the doggy door - although she does not really need to go out except a few times a day. She doesn't bark much at all but has a cute little howl she uses instead - but not frequently. Typical beagle, Molly is a real food hound and can hear a wrapper opening next door! She does fine with the other dogs in the household but, perhaps because of recovering from her injury, she has not really interacted with them a lot. They are all friendly and live peacefully together. In summary, Molly's foster mom says, "smart little girl, well mannered, quiet, affectionate, absolutely perfect!"
