JEWELYN HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WILL BE GOING ON A SLEEPOVER!
UPDATE: Jewelyn's tail wags constantly, she is a very happy girl but so far appears to be medium energy and very quiet, i.e. does not bark. Jewelyn loves to go on walks and does very well on leash. She greets everyone she sees on her walks like a long lost friend - people, kids and dogs. Cuddling on the couch is fine with her or she is happy to lie at your side when you're busy. She is sleeping in the crate with her puppies with no problem and is doing well with house training but not yet perfect. Jewelyn would do equally well with a family with kids or an older couple...with a fenced yard or in an apartment. Her foster mom says her pictures don't do her justice and that she is very pretty with classic beagle features.
UPDATE: Jewelyn's puppies were born on May 22, 2016. Her puppies will be ready for adoption after July 17th and so will mamma. Jewelyn did test positive for heartworms so we will treat her for them when she is spayed.

JEWELYN came to us pregnant from Alabama. We immediately took her to our vet who said he believed she may have as many as 9 or 10 puppies. Our little girl looks ready! Jewelyn is mostly black and brown but has a cute little beagle body - even with her poor belly bulging with puppies! We will be able to tell you much more about her personality once her mothering duties are over - but she has a ways to go yet!
