UPDATE 11/20/21-The foster family said Merlot is very sweet and friendly. She is good with the family's other 2 dogs and would probably do best with a family with another dog, probably not a big dog. She sleeps in her crate at night but doesn't always like going in at first. She likes being petted. She is playful and can be a little mischevious and silly at times. Overall she is very good dog.
A good Merlot pairs beautifully with many foods and this little beagle girl could be a treasured member of just about any family. She is just a little bonbon of joy, ingratiating herself to people with her little tail wags and wiggles. When meeting other dogs she lowers her front end into a little play bow to communicate her gentle and friendly nature. She is a fine little beagle and worthy to be savored by those with the most discriminating of tastes - however little Merlot did test positive for heartworms so we will need to treat her before she can be adopted. We will keep you updated!
