***NEW ARRIVAL!
We would lightheartedly urge you to NOT consider Melanie for your family unless you have a strong desire to cuddle. :) This little beagle girl majors in cuddles. She is so sweet and gentle but wants to be near you or in your lap as much as possible. So far her foster mom is impressed with how quiet she is, although she is beginning to show more of her playful personality when she gets excited. Melanie is doing excellent with housetraining, leash walking and goes willingly in her crate to eat her meals and to sleep. She ignores the cat and gets along well with the other dog in her foster home who is only 10 lbs. We don't know Melanie's heartworm status yet, but we will have her in to see our vet very soon.
