ADOPTION PENDING
Once upon a time Murray was part of a family complete with mommy, daddy and kids... until the daddy lost his job. When we saw his shelter video and heard how sad he was we just had to rescue him.
This big bundle of doggie love gives the best kisses ever. He may have forged his papers to get into a beagle rescue, but he is certainly tri-color, just a little bigger, fluffier, and calmer than your garden variety beagle. We think he might have some Golden Retriever or Aussie in him. His herding prowess can match that of any Aussie we’ve ever met.
Murray enjoys sniffing around the backyard, standing next to you, sitting on top of you, lying next to you, playing with you, and giving those sweet kisses. He gets along fine with his one foster brother, a smaller beagle. He rarely barks and doesn’t get into any mischief. He’s about a 90% in house training and though he’s only been out of the shelter and with his foster mom for a couple of days, she thinks he’ll do fine. He does have a doggie door, and once he gets a little leash training (he is strong and can pull with the best of them), we think he’ll love taking walks. However , Murray does need to be supervised when the front door opens or he is very likely to run out.
He's a little too big for a 36-inch crate but has done well outside the crate at night and when left alone. Murray doesn’t have the food drive you generally find with beagles and doesn’t howl. He is neutered, microchipped, hearworm negative, and ready for a sleepover.
