Butter is just so delightfully cheerful!! He has adorable long ears and although his little tail is stubby, it nonetheless wags so hard his butt wiggles with it. He very much enjoys lounging around and being petted or sniffing around the yard. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet but really enjoys chew bones and treats which he is quickly learning to sit for. Butter is making straight A's in potty training and has not shown much mischievous behavior at all —unusual for a Beagle! He came from Mississippi where he was found as a very sad little stray. He is estimated at only 2 years but he has a fairly calm, moderate energy level, and that has has enabled him to settle into house life very easily. Butter will let out a few barks when excited or wanting to play with his foster brothers, but overall he's a pretty quiet beagle, both in the house and in his crate. If you are looking for a sweetheart to snuggle with on the couch, or a pal to take on neighborhood walks (not a huge puller!), or a greeter at the door with endless tail wags when you get home from work, he’s the perfect new family member!
Butter is currently undergoing treatment for demodex mange (not contagious), which should continue to improve over the next month. He will then be neutered and ready for a sleepover.
