ADOPTION PENDING
Meena is a small sweetie with big bright eyes. She has only been in her Florida foster home for a few days and is timid in the new surroundings. She is also shy with people but is already warming up to her foster mom and giving tail wags and happy smiles. Mena definitely knows her name and quickly comes when called hoping it is mealtime or that she will get treats. She loves other dogs - large or small, and she is playful with her senior beagle foster brother. Typical beagle, she is naturally curious and loves sniffing every inch of the sidewalk and parks along her daily walks. She sleeps at night in a crate but likes to nap on the sofa near her foster brother or curled up in a dog bed. So far, Mena has not barked at all, although that might be due to her shyness. Her potty training is coming along but she is currently living in an apartment and has only just started her new routines. She seems to prefer her privacy and taking her time to find just the right spot! Mena is heartworm positive but scheduled for her treatment. She will need to be on an activity restriction afterwards but could be ready for a sleepover as long as that can be observed.
