UPDATE: Buck III is recovering rapidly! His stitches will be removed in a couple of days and his hair is already growing back in.  He is wonderful with other dogs and makes friends quickly. Buck is okay with being crated, is not afraid of thunder and  walks well on a leash. He is continuing to work on potty training but definitely making good progress. He needs to sniff out his spot while on leash, but he's just not too sure about using the dog door in his foster home to go potty. Buck loves company and wants to be in the center of it all. He is extremely gentle when taking treats from his foster mom's hand, and although she feeds him separately, all the dogs get treats in a group. He is eager to get his, but good natured towards the other dogs and learning to wait his turn. Buck is a moderately active dog, not hyper, and foster mom says he would sit on her lap all day if he could. To sum up - Buck III is just a young, happy dog who is eager to please and who loves to play or go for a walk. He will definitely make some lucky family very happy!

New Arrival:  We were originally told by the county shelter that Buck III's wounds were from BBs or buck shot, but our veterinarian believes they are animal bites to his leg as he was running away.  The good news is there was no damage to the bone or muscular damage.  So once he heals and his fur grows back Buck III is expected to fully recover from his injuries.

Buck III is a very friendly Beagle Boy who loves attention and is doing very well with the other Beagles in his foster home.  Also, as far as housetraining is concerned, Buck III has not had any accidents in his foster home!
