SAGE II HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WE ARE SCHEDULING A SLEEPOVER!

UPDATE:  Sage II is doing well in her foster home and although she started out pretty timid, she is coming along vell. She is friendly with the humans and slowly but surely becoming part of the dog pack. There are four other dogs in her foster home and Sage is enjoying hanging out with them and even beginning to play a bit. She seems to be a mellow beagle girl with a moderate activity level. She does not mind being crated and comes when you call her, but she does need to be supervised in the yard.

SAGE II was listed on Craig's List by her owner, who mentioned that she was not spayed and had "not yet been bred".  We contacted the owner and arranged for her to surrender SAGE II to SouthEast Beagle Rescue.
SAGE II seems a little shy and, of course confused, but was easy to handle and did enjoy sitting on my lap and having her belly rubbed, like a true Beagle.
SAGE II  tested negative for heartworms.
